RESURGENSPUBLIC ADJUSTING

Personnel File — About Us

Named for the city that rebuilds.

Atlanta's motto, Resurgens— “rising again” — comes from the phoenix on the city seal. Resurgens was built on the same idea: property owners can rebuild fully after a loss, if their claim is fought for properly.

From the Founder

I've sat where you're sitting.

Ryan Carden, founder of Resurgens Public Adjusting

Ryan Carden— Licensed Public Adjuster, Georgia

Two years ago, my own home burned down. In the weeks that followed, I learned firsthand what so many Georgia families discover during the worst week of their lives: the adjuster your insurance company sends out is not there to protect you.

I watched a settlement offer come in far short of what it would actually cost to rebuild — and I had to fight for a fair number while still grieving everything we'd lost. That experience is the reason Resurgens Public Adjusting exists.

No policyholder should have to navigate a fire, storm, or water loss without someone in their corner who has actually been through it. I became a licensed public adjuster to do for other families what I wish someone had done for mine: document the full damage, communicate with the insurance company, and pursue the amount supported by the loss and policy.

Why Resurgens exists

Most policyholders file one or two property claims in their entire lives. Insurance companies handle thousands, employ in-house adjusters and estimators, and control every step of the evaluation process by default. That imbalance is exactly why Georgia law allows homeowners and business owners to hire their own licensed representative — a public adjuster — to level the playing field.

Resurgens Public Adjusting was founded to put that expertise on the policyholder's side. Resurgens inspects, documents, and negotiates with the same professional rigor the insurer brings to its own side of the claim.

Resurgens is the insurance company’s worst nightmare — because Resurgens fights for the insured.

Resurgens is not a law firm and doesn't provide legal advice — for litigation or bad-faith disputes, Resurgens works alongside attorneys as needed. The Resurgens role is the claims process itself: proving the full extent of your loss and negotiating the settlement it warrants.

What guides Resurgens' work

Independence

Resurgens is never paid by an insurance company. The only client is the policyholder, and the only incentive is your recovery.

Transparency

Plain-English policy reviews, written fee agreements, and honest assessments — including when hiring Resurgens isn't the right move.

Thoroughness

Resurgens documents damage the way insurers document premiums: carefully, with evidence, and without cutting corners.

From the Case Files

The claim that launched this firm.

The founding of Resurgens came directly from a real house fire insurance claim — 18 months of reconstruction, asbestos abatement, a mid-recovery burglary, a public adjuster, and over $130,000 in documented damages. That experience is documented in the Case Files, in detail, so other Atlanta-area homeowners can see exactly how a major claim works.
